Get a movin'

Ongoing research indicates that regular aerobic activity, such as brisk walking, swimming and cycling, can reduce blood pressure. If you haven't been exercising, consult your doctor and start slowly. Thirty minutes of aerobic activity at least three times per week should be the goal. This can be as simple as taking a walk on your lunch break. However, if you have been sedentary, please remember every minute helps!

Calm down

Stress is often a factor in producing high blood pressure. Relaxation techniques, such as breath work, yoga and meditation are often helpful. Try using an app or setting aside 5-10 minutes a day to let yourself unwid from the stress of daily life.

Eat your veggies

Healthy eating is essential to maintain heart health. Cruciferous vegetables (broccoli and cauliflower) are particularly nutritious.

Don't forget to use Avacados regularly. Research has proven they can help lower cholesterol, regulate blood pressure, and protect against heart disease and stroke. It's a good source of vitamin K, dietary fiber, potassium and folate. While avocados are cholesterol free, contain heart healthy fats, and are low in sodium, do not overdo... Too much of a good thing is not good!

Get rid of the cigs.

By now, everyone knows that smoking is no good. If you are a smoker and want to quit, there is a lot of help out there. For many people who are "planning" to quit, it is often easier if you've started adopting healthier lifestyle habits..Eating healthier, stress reduction and exercise(moderate) will often make the process easier and more effective..

Good luck!
